Despite the win, Quezon will look to sharpen its offensive efficiency after shooting 33 percent from the field and missing several free throws in the third period.
Biñan enters Game 2 determined to even the series, having shown they can rally late and put Quezon under pressure. Warren Bonifacio turned in a strong performance with 13 points and nine rebounds, while Pingris added nine points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Kenny Roger Rocacurva contributed seven points and six boards, but Biñan will need steadier scoring and fewer costly turnovers after giving up nine points off their errors.
With Quezon aiming to protect home court and Biñan eager to bounce back, Game 2 is shaping up to be another intense battle. Tip-off is at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, at the Lucena Convention Center.
