Farm Fresh outlasts Galeries Tower in five-set
Farm Fresh Foxies finally broke through their winless slump, edging past the struggling Galeries Tower Highrisers in a thrilling five-set match, 25-22, 35-37, 23-25, 25-20, 15-10, in the 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference at the PhilSports Arena on Tuesday.
The match was a back-and-forth affair, with both teams fighting tooth and nail for every point. Galeries Tower, despite losing the first set, showed resilience, forcing a deciding fifth set.
However, Farm Fresh proved to be the steadier team in the end.
Yeny Murillo was the standout performer for the Foxies, scoring 29 crucial points, including a dominant five-point run in the fifth set that gave her team a commanding 11-6 lead. Murillo’s offensive firepower, combined with the solid contributions from Caitlyn Viray, Trisha Tubu, and Aprylle Tagsip, was too much for Galeries Tower to handle.

Farm Fresh, now holding a 1-2 record in Pool A, looks to build on this momentum as they face Nxled on Saturday at 1:00 PM, again at the PhilSports Arena.
Meanwhile, Galeries Tower will aim to break their losing streak when they go up against the formidable Creamline later that day at 3:00 PM.
