Cignal holds off ZUS Coffee challenge

Cignal HD Spikers continued their strong start in the 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference, defeating ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles in four sets (25-18, 29-27, 21-25, 25-22) on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

The victory solidified Cignal’s position at the top of Pool B with a perfect 2-0 record.

Venezuelan import MJ Perez was once again the driving force behind Cignal’s success, delivering a dominant performance with 30 points. Her offensive prowess, combined with her strong defensive contributions, proved too much for ZUS Coffee to handle. Perez’s efficient scoring and consistent play were instrumental in securing the win for the HD Spikers.

Cignal will look to maintain their undefeated streak when they face Capital1 on Saturday. ZUS Coffee, on the other hand, will aim to bounce back against Choco Mucho in their next match, also on Saturday.
