Preview: Ginebra and TNT Clash in Pivotal Game 4

After finally cracking the code to slow down TNT, Barangay Ginebra aims to ride the wave of their hard-fought Game 3 win and level the series in Game 4 of the PBA Season 49 Governors’ Cup Finals.

The showdown is set for Sunday, November 3, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, with tip-off at 7:30 p.m. following the conference’s Best Player of the Conference (BPC) and Best Import awarding ceremonies.

The Gin Kings clawed their way back into contention with an 85-73 triumph in Game 3, avoiding the dreaded 0-3 hole.

Led by a balanced two-way effort from Justin Brownlee, Ginebra shut down TNT in the final quarter, flipping the series momentum in front of their energized fanbase. Brownlee, who posted 18 points, 13 rebounds, and 4 blocks, contained TNT’s star import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson down the stretch, limiting him to just two points in the final seven minutes.

TNT, however, is still up 2-1 in the series and will be eager to regain control. Hollis-Jefferson remains the Tropang Giga’s linchpin, finishing with 24 points, 14 rebounds, and 7 assists in Game 3 despite Ginebra’s late lockdown defense. If TNT can find a way to maintain their potent attack and overcome Ginebra’s defense, they’ll edge closer to a title defense.

For Ginebra, another dominant defensive performance is key, but they know TNT’s resilient core won’t go down without a fight. A win in Game 4 would send the series back to square one, setting the stage for an epic finish.
