The Cignal HD Spikers look to extend their winning momentum as they take on the Capital1 Solar Spikers in the Preliminary Round of the 2025 PVL on Tour at the Chavit Coliseum in Vigan, Ilocos Sur.
Cignal made a strong statement in their tour opener, sweeping the Akari Chargers in straight sets, 25-23, 25-14, 25-23. Leading the charge was newcomer Erika Santos, who impressed in her debut with a team-high 14 points, all from kills. Veteran spiker Tin Tiamzon also delivered an all-around performance with 11 points and 14 excellent receptions, providing stability on both ends of the court.
On the other hand, the Capital1 Solar Spikers aim to bounce back after a tough straight-sets loss to the powerhouse Creamline Cool Smashers, 25-10, 25-21, 25-10. Despite the defeat, Rovena Instrella stood out for Capital1, finishing with a team-high seven points. The team, led by new head coach Jorge Souza de Brito, continues to find its rhythm as it adjusts to a revamped lineup.
