Chery Tiggo vs. Capital1 // 2025 PVL on Tour
Chery Tiggo Crossovers begin its 2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) on Tour campaign with a matchup against the struggling Capital1 Solar Spikers in what promises to be an exciting Pool B clash.
Set to take place this weekend, the match marks the Crossovers’ debut in the pre-season tournament. Despite the absence of Alas Pilipinas standout Jen Nierva, Chery Tiggo remains loaded with battle-tested veterans and rising stars.
Stepping up in Nierva’s absence are Angela Nunag and Joahna Verdeflor, who will anchor the defense. They’ll be backed by a talented core led by Ces Robles, Ara Galang, Shaya Adorador, Abi Maraño, Pauline Gaston, and Mary Rhose Dapol, alongside middle blockers Cza Carandang and Seth Rodriguez. A solid trio of setters — Jasmine Nabor, Joyme Cagande, and Alina Bicar — will take turns running the Crossovers’ offense.
Eyes will also be on rookies Reyann Canete and Erika Jin Deloria, both looking to make an early splash after seeing fellow first-timers like Lyann De Guzman (Nxled), Jean Asis (Galeries Tower), Jen Villegas (Choco Mucho), and Sheena Toring (Creamline) already thrive in the spotlight.
On the other hand, Capital1 is still searching for its first win after back-to-back losses to powerhouse squads Creamline and Cignal in Vigan, Ilocos Sur. While rookie Athena Abbu has shown promise, the Solar Spikers will need bigger outings from key players Trisha Genesis, Jorelle Singh, Shola Alvarez, Sydney Niegos, and Rovena Instrella if they hope to pull off an upset.

Chery Tiggo Crossovers shook off a shaky start in its 2025 PVL on Tour debut, rallying from a set down to take a gritty four-set win over Capital1 Solar Spikers, 20-25, 25-23, 25-12, 28-26.
